Karl Towns wore a shirt with the inscription “Free Meek Mill” to show his support for rap star at the Super Bowl over the weekend.
The NBA player was in attendance as The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII in a thrilling, absurd 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots. Towns isn’t the only NBA player to show his support for Meek as LeBron James, Lonzo Balls have also rallied their voices for his release.
The convicted rapper Meek Mill, who is currently serving a 2-3 years jail term for violation of his probation. He was sentenced over a case dated back to 2005 when the rapper was found in possession of drug and gun and subsequently put on probation.
