Netherlands appoint Koeman as new boss

Former Everton coach, Ronald Koeman has been confirmed as the new Netherlands coach on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Koeman was relieved of his duties as Everton manager in October after successive poor result.

A statement from the Dutch FA confirming the appointment reads: “The KNVB has reached agreement with Ronald Koeman about the appointment as national coach of the Duch national team.

“Koeman has just signed a contract that connects him to Orange with immediate effect up to and including the World Cup 2022.”

Koeman represented the Netherlands between 1982 and 1994, winning 78 caps and scored 14 goals.
