Barcelona record signing, Phillipe Coutinho came off the bench to score his first Barcelona goal in a 2-0 win at on Thursday to secure their safe passage to Copa del Rey final.
Coutinho opened the scoring for the Catalan side in the 49th minutes after being introduced into the match at the start of the second half.
Ivan Rakitic then made sure of the victory as he swept home the second goal eight minutes from time to see holders Barcelona secured a place in the cup final for the fifth consecutive time.
Barcelona will now face Sevilla who beat Leganes 2-0 on Wednesday to go through 3-1 on aggregate in the final, which is scheduled for April.
Speaking Spanish TV station Gol of his relieve to open his Barcelona account, he sad;
“For me it is my first final, so it is a very special moment
“I am very happy. I had been searching for this goal in my first few matches. Today I got it and it helped the team get through to the final.”
